30 day EW w/ Silicone Hydrogel vs. std. 2 wk disposable

Do we interpret this article as saying it is actually healthier to wear the silicone hydrogel for one month extended wear, than to wear a conventional 2 week disposable lens not extended wear? If so...wahoo!

  1. What in the heck is a "neophyte"?
    This term is used in this article and I've never heard of it before.

  2. neo = newly
    phyte = converted

    Therefore a neophyte contact lens wearer is a person newly converted or "switched over" to contact lens wear.

    You're right. Who would want to be known as a "neophyte"?
