INCREASE PATCHING TIME IN AMBLYOPIA

When amblyopic eye VA stops improving with 2 hours of daily patching, increasing the daily patching dosage to 6 hours results in more improvement in VA after 10 weeks compared with continuing 2 hours daily.

SIMBRINZA FDA APPROVED

Simbrinza is made by Alcon and is the combination of brinzolamide (Azopt) and brimonidine (Alphagan).  It is contraindicated in patients with sulfa allergies. Alcon claims that the suspension provides 1-3mmHg of additional IOP lowering affect when compared to the individual components.  Dosage is TID and because it's a suspension, it should be shaken well.
