Image

INTERFERON RETINOPATHY IS RARE AND NOT WORSENED BY DIABETES OR HTN

Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics Volume 30 Issue 6 , Pages 597 - 602 The incidence of symptomatic retinopathy in HCV (Hepatitis C Virus) patients undergoing interferon therapy appears low and treatment cessation is rarely needed. Furthermore, patients with hypertension and diabetes may not be at higher risk for interferon-induced retinopathy.

MONOVISION MAY BE BETTER THAN MULTIFOCAL IOLS

Image
Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Volume 35 , Issue 9 , Pages 1501-1504 (September 2009) This study evaluated patients who had monofocal IOL implantation to correct presbyopia and multifocal IOL implantation. The maximum reading speed, critical character size, and reading acuity were measured binocularly without refractive correction The mean maximum reading speed difference was not statistically significant. The monovision group had better critical character size and reading acuity results. The monovision method group had better reading ability.

TOPICAL AVASTIN MAY DECREASE PKP GRAFT REJECTION
