The incidence of symptomatic retinopathy in HCV (Hepatitis C Virus) patients undergoing interferon therapy appears low and treatment cessation is rarely needed. Furthermore, patients with hypertension and diabetes may not be at higher risk for interferon-induced retinopathy.
