COMBO AVASTIN/PDT BETTER THAN EITHER ALONE

Verteporfin Therapy and Intravitreal Bevacizumab Combined and Alone in Choroidal Neovascularization due to Age-Related Macular Degeneration. Ophthalmology Volume 114, Issue 6, June 2007, Pages 1179-1185

Significant improvements in best-corrected VA after 1 month and their maintenance over a 3-month period were observed after verteporfin PDT combined with intravitreal bevacizumab (Avastin).
Especially impressive is that of the 23 patients who's visual improvement persisted at the 3 month follow-up, 22 of them were in the combined group.
