Travatan Z Approved by FDA


The first and only prostaglandin analogue without BAK is now available. Travatan Z manufactured by Alcon has just received approval. This may help alleviate the stinging and redness often associated with prostaglandin analogues.

  1. My hunch is that this will do nothing for the redness. It's not the BAK causing the redness, it's the stimulation of prostaglandin (an inflammatory mediator) release.
